First Project Complete!

Very happy to announce NatureMakers have completed our first job.

The project was to provide a micro forest design for a challenging site at Springvale Botanical Cemetery Southern Metropolitan Cemeteries Trust. The design includes space for people to quietly reflect, space for nature to thrive and shared space where visitors can explore and enjoy nature.

The design is inspired by a local icon species the Blue Tongued Lizard and influenced by outcomes of the biodiversity audit, desktop review, soil testing and staff consultation that was also undertaken as part of the project. We were recently invited back to Springvale Botanical Cemetery to take part in a planting day, helping to make our design become reality.

Shout out to our first client, Springvale Botanical Cemetery. Nina Thomas and Helen Tuton and all the staff at SBC who have been excellent to work with. It has been great to be working with an organization that demonstrates their environmental responsibility and cares so deeply for nature the importance of biodiversity. If you would like to know more about the project, there's a great video here https://lnkd.in/gbYTV8pU.

Shout out also to Vivian Scarpari for working with us on this fantastic project.
